Step 01 · Take the address
An address is all it needs.
You paste a public wallet address. Portify never asks for a recovery phrase or a private key, and never asks for permission to move funds.
Step 02 · Read each chain
Every chain, read its own way.
Each network stores balances differently. Portify keeps a profile for every chain, covering Ethereum-compatible chains, Solana and several other networks, so it queries the right node the right way.
Step 03 · Normalise
One token, one record.
Decimals, symbols and token names are normalised to a single standard. An asset that lives on several chains is still treated as the same asset.
Step 04 · Price
A number you can read.
Balances are multiplied by the latest price and summed into a total, with profit and loss and a list of positions. Anything that does not add up goes into a review list.
Price data
Every price shows its source and time.
One wrong price breaks a whole portfolio. So Portify treats a price as data to be checked, not a number to fill a gap.
Two sources, each with its own job.
Prices for major coins come from OKX over a WebSocket. CoinGecko covers the remaining coins and market data. Portify uses the CoinGecko Analyst plan.
A gap is marked, not guessed.
When a coin has no price yet, Portify puts it on the review list instead of filling in a made-up number.
Every price carries its timestamp.
Prices that are too old are flagged, so you know how fresh the number in front of you is.
